Matt grew up in Long Island, New York, and spent all of his time as a child reading books, hiking in the woods and climbing trees. His sense of wonder led him down many creative career paths, including in the film industry, publishing, screenwriting and others, before he decided he also wanted to explore his passion to help people as a financial professional.

Matt speaks five languages and brings international experience to his financial team. He received both a B.A. and a B.S. from Fordham University and attended graduate school at New York University. He has now been working in the financial world for over 25 years, first as a resident of Weston, Florida, and more recently at a second office in Tifton, Georgia.

“I get great satisfaction from helping people come up with a financial plan that fits their circumstances,” he said. “Each plan is different for every family, and the creative aspect is bringing together streams of monthly income for them in retirement so they can see exactly what they will earn each month and receive the peace of mind that gives them.”

As Founder/CEO of Olympic Advisors, Matt has built his company from the ground up on the values he was raised with: commitment to service; responsibility; professionalism; and, accessibility. “I want people to know that the reason I’m here is to serve them,” he said. “Yes, I earn a living from what I do, but I have to be a good fit for clients first. If they don’t believe I can help them, I would never try to push a product or service on them, that’s not who I am. It has to be a collaborative process, just like filmmaking or theater. We have to work in concert to get the best results.”

Away from the office, Matt has participated in a score of creative endeavors. He was an executive producer of the film “The Price,” released in the summer of 2014, and “Angel Camouflaged,” also released in 2014. He has been featured in and has written numerous articles for magazines and sports journals, and is the author of the newly published bestseller, “Defying the Mob: Secrets Revealed,” based upon the true story of former “FBI No. 3,” Susan Weeks. He is the author of the novel “Earthkill” and recently finished a screenplay of the same name. He is also the author of a children’s short story, “Children of the Magical Forest.”

Matt was an All-American track star, a champion wrestler, an international champion long distance runner, and a nationally ranked triathlete. On January 26, 2013, Matt was inducted into Fordham University’s Athletic Hall of Fame, where he joined athletes such as Vince Lombardi, Vin Scully and Olympic Champion Tom Courtney. Matt’s wife Violeta is a singer/songwriter/composer/actress who starred in two movies with James Brolin and Sonny Shroyer. They currently live in Tifton, Georgia.
